Like many of the others, he'd received a favor from the mayor recently -- But for some odd reason, he'd hesitated until a few days ago to actually go to the store and check it out. The item was definitely a bit strange. A single piece of paper, with only a single word written on it. Twincast. To anyone else, it would have meant nothing. But the moment Palom had read that piece of paper, it was as if he'd suddenly become more . . . complete. As if there had been a gap somewhere that had gone unnoticed until it was actually filled.
If Mayfield worked anything like he thought it would, there was one other person who had received the exact same favor. He'd asked her to come over that afternoon, but he couldn't wait any longer. 9:00 sharp, Palom was knocking on the door of 772 Bunker.

Right. I've been trying not to be too open about my magic powers in general, which would be a good idea for you as well.
[She starts charging the spell. Thank goodness, the magic link between them seems as strong as it ever was back home.]

[Twincast is almost fully prepared now -- The glowing ball of energy between them is nearly half the size of their own bodies. Palom grins widely as he glances at Porom.]

The magic grows... and there's still nothing wrong, nothing rusty after months of it being gone.]

Seconds later, a massive flare of flame rears forth, spiraling upwards in a firestorm; Palom grunts in effort as he attempts to keep it suspended in the air. Wouldn't do any good to set the entire backyard on the fire. When the magic finally wears off . . . ]
Alright! This is so awesome, sis; we might as well be back up to our full strength now with this!

[It really is a relief to have their twin magic back... she hasn't felt quite herself without it.]
